Having started a programming club at the beginning of the year using Kodu, many of my students were eager to try out something a little more challenging. I worked with some of my students and introduced them to Touch Develop. You may recall reading a blog entry which shows off some of the sketches that students have come up with. I’m happy to announce that one of the applications is nearly finished.
One student worked with the P.E department to find out the type of things the students need to know. They need to know about the different muscles and how they work. Having worked with this, his application is now available to look at in the Touch Develop Library.
You can search for it by typing “fitness” into the search. Alternatively, you can follow this link here.
All you need to have is a HTML5 compatible browser and you can start programming yourself. If you’re interested in trying this with your own class, then please follow my scheme of work above. Alternatively, you can click here. I’m currently updating my video tutorials due to the updates made to Touch Develop. I’m looking at adding a few lessons on algorithms which are coming into the new computer science curriculum. Here is the link to the Scheme of work.
