At BETT2015 you may have seen me talking about how some of my students were starting to use Minecraft to improve their programming / logic gate knowledge. I’ve shared some of my own classroom resources to get you started and it should be able to help you understand how to use it more than one way.
The AND/OR logic gates will be updated over the next week due to some problems with the switches *25/01/2015*
You will be able to find out about the ComputerCraft mod which has been tried and tested within Minecraft. You do need to be wary of the modifications. I’m using ComputerCraft because it’s reliable and it has been used by other educators. It uses the LUA programming base and you can teach students about variables, loops, functions and more. You will even have the opportunity to program turtles to build objects within Minecraft.
You can access my presentation from BETT2015 here – *Needs a little tidying up but you get the picture 😉
